Hiking

Just a stone's throw from the banks of the Urft and the railway line, the hiker/walker passes a small sacred monument here, erected to commemorate the recent past. Many people will still have very vivid memories today of the heavy rain catastrophe in July 2021, when - alongside many other streams and rivers - the Urft also swelled to an unimaginable extent, devastating the adjacent villages in many places.

This beautiful statue of Our Lady was erected here, near the Urft, to commemorate the victims of the flood disaster on the 14th/15th. Set up in July 2021.
