The Peestner Tanzlinde is located on the Tanzlinden cycle path (Limmersdorf - Langenstadt - Peesten). There are only a few Tanzlinden left in Germany.

On the village square in Peesten, opposite the Giech'schen "Castle" and next to the Marienkirche, there has been a dancing linden tree again since 2001. The planning of the newly built wooden structure was carried out true to the original according to old descriptions and drawings of the historical predecessor (end of the 16th century until 1947). The 12 sandstone pillars and the stone spiral staircase that lead to the 87 m² tree room come from her.
In 1951 the tree, a summer linden tree, was planted, and since 2003 people have danced again on the dance linden tree for church fairs. The linden hall of the natural monument is open in summer.

A great and impressive tree, in which an approx. 80 sqm large dance floor is installed. Both the wooden structure and the linden tree itself are in very good condition. Kerwa always takes place on the 2nd weekend in June, where, among other things, people dance and celebrate in the lime tree.
