The ramparts can still be clearly seen in the forest.

The two ramparts known as acorn gardens were built between 1750 and 1850. Both are rectangular, closed ramparts measuring 75 x 25 m and 55 x 25 m respectively. Its ramparts are still 2 m wide and 0.40 to 0.70 m high. In front of the ramparts there are ditches about 2 m wide and half a meter deep. These are planting gardens, also called planting camps. Here the forestry planted oaks and, more rarely, spruces. The walls and ditches were used to protect the young trees from being browsed by wild animals or livestock. In addition, there could be a wooden fence on the wall or the ditch could be planted with thorn bushes.
