    Hiking

The almost thousand-year-old Church of the Holy Cross, known as the Collegiate Church for short, was founded by Empress Kunigunde, the wife of Emperor Henry II, consecrated on July 13, 1025, and handed over to the Old Hessian Knighthood by Landgrave Philip of Hesse in 1532.

It belongs to the Old Hessian Knighthood, the parish has a right of use and sees itself as responsible for preserving this special church building and filling it with life.

    Hiking

Founded in 1017 as a Benedictine monastery, the castle was taken over in the 16th century by the oldest foundation in Hesse: the Althessian Knighthood. This foundation looked after the family members of the knighthood. The foundation still exists today. At the building you can take a break under the shady trees.
