The botanical park has a unique natural ambience that gives the visitor the impression of entering an enchanted world, where colors and scents give an unforgettable experience. The largest and most diverse collection of azaleas, rhododendrons and conifers in the region of the Indubrí Region grows on the 200,000 square meters of the Parco San Grato. It is located between San Salvatore and Monte Arbostora, about 10 km from Lugano, at 690 meters above sea level. It offers a unique view of the immediate surroundings, Lake Lugano and the peaks of the Alps. Visitors can expect a unique nature experience here. Through the large azalea and rhododendrons, five theme trails lead. Botany, relaxation, panorama, art and fairy tales. The Sinnesweg was created in 2017 for the 60th anniversary of the park. Each of these trails invites visitors to discover the different seasonal aspects of the park. The playground is easily accessible and is located in the heart of the park between rare and impressive conifers.
