The summit of the glass head can be reached via narrow - often difficult to see - paths. With a height of 686.8 m, it is part of the Taunus main ridge. The mountain gets its name from the earlier glass production in forest glassworks on its slopes, such as the glassworks on the Emsbach Gorge.
