Tips

  • Jonas Wind

The Zacken is a bizarre rock formation that is often used by climbers as a training ground. From the Großer Zacken you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Emsbachtal in the Idsteiner valley and over to the glass head.

If you stand in front of it, you immediately know why this rock formation is called the "Big Point". It has an alpine character in the middle of the Taunus.
Is also used as a training area by mountaineers or those who want to become one.

In any case, you should allow a little time for the view on the lümmelfelsen;)

When climbing, a head for heights is an advantage - risk of falling.
Even if you don't have a head for heights, it is a nice excursion destination, you don't have to go right to the edge.
    Nice view to Oberems.

In every weather a very beautiful and partly mystical place. Impressive rock formation.

There is a small steep path around the Peaks, which requires absolute surefootedness in autumn, when wet and with lots of foliage.

Very nice rocks and a fantastic view. There is a steep little path between the rocks, very nice, but be careful of slipping!

An impressive rock formation, especially due to the exposed location.

Nice view, you can vary the route compared to the Komoot suggestion. Is not as crowded as other destinations in the Taunus.

    Really a big jag:
Even the ascent on the small path through the forest is a - quite steep - experience and gives the feeling: Done, up! It's just not true depending on the further route planning ... there is still something going on!

    Great view,
Sometimes a bit scary with the little ones 😰
    But a great experience!

THE climbing rock, both for people with professional climbing ambitions and for kids to scramble in the terrain. In addition, you have a good view from above.

A group of several striking rocks that rise on the slope. Paths between the individual rock formations are not always easy to see and also very steep (danger of slipping!).
