Die Sonntagswanderung führte ins Rheinhessische, genauer gesagt nach Stadecken-Elsheim. Wie das so ist, so gibt es Traditionen, die man nicht brechen sollte. Diese Wanderung bin ich zum ersten Mal 2022 gewandert und bereits damals habe ich mich auf den letzten Metern der Anfahrt zum Wanderparkplatz verfahren. Das habe ich heute bei meiner Anfahrt dann auch gleich wieder geschafft aber noch schnell gemerkt. Okay, die Dame im Navi hat etwas entsetzt ausgerufen, ich möge doch bitte wenden. Der Wanderparkplatz dieser Hiwweltour liegt etwas versteckt vor den Tennisplätzen. Hat man den Parkplatz dann aber gefunden, sollte es in der Regel kein Problem sein, dass Wägelchen dort abzustellen, denn Parkplätze sind dort ausreichend vorhanden. Mit 9,9 Kilometern ist diese Tour nicht besonders lang, doch wer am Wanderparkplatz zu dieser Tour parkt, der wird nicht enttäuscht. Denn vom Parkplatz aus läuft man erst mal auf einem Zuweg von 1,1 Kilometern und erreicht dann die eigentliche Hiwweltour. Will sagen, warum startet die Hiwweltour nicht am Wanderparkplatz? Es würde keinen Unterschied machen. Die Tour ist somit dann aber nicht mehr 9,9 km sondern 12,1 Kilometer lang. Und zu Beginn ist die Routenführung dann etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, denn auf dem Zuweg erreicht man nach einer Weile eine Hauptstraße, biegt nach rechts ab, überquert die Straße und läuft dann auf der anderen Seite links wieder die gleiche Strecke zurück. Insgesamt betrachtet ist diese Hiwweltour ganz gut zu laufen. Es geht, wie bei Hiwwel üblich, ab und an schon mal Kräftezerrend hinauf und manchmal fragt man sich, warum diese Schleife denn sein muss. Auf jeden Fall Pluspunkte gibt es für die vielen Rastmöglichkeiten entlang der Strecke, die auch häufig für mehrere Personen (kleinere Gruppen) ausgelegt sind. Vom Wetter her hatten wir zu beginn nicht so viel Glück, doch zum Ende hin bekamen wir es doch tatsächlich mit Wolkenlücken zu tun. After five years, we finally organized a night hike for the TSG (German Social Club). This route is ideal for it: paved paths, beautiful views of the Rhine-Main area, and a very good stop at the Wiesenmühle halfway through with very friendly staff and delicious food.
