Rutenbrunnen: Designed in 1986/87 by the Ravensburg sculptor Josef Henger based on an idea from the Rutenfest committee.
The depiction focuses on the origins of the Ravensburg Rutenfest, which has been documented since 1645, the so-called "Ruten gehen" (walking with the rod) of schoolchildren. The Rutenfest developed from the Rutengehen (walking with the rod), the city's central school and local festival, which is celebrated every year before the summer holidays.
