This chapel was dedicated to Saint BARBARA. The figure in the center of the apse is the Virgin Mary with her son in her arms, to the left is Saint Joseph and to the right is the patron saint of this small church, Saint Barbara. She is known above all as the patron saint of miners. Her feast day in the calendar of saints is December 4th.
