Fragment of the prayer column from
1489.

Albert Park is home to one of the city's oldest monuments. A medieval prayer column, documented as early as
1489.

It was severely damaged during the Thirty Years' War.

The monument was toppled by vandals in 2009, initially
recovered by the city administration
and safely stored.

The prayer column has been restored, and a suitable base has been erected.

The site for the prayer column is in Albert Park.
The handover of the re-erected monument took place on
May 15, 2013.
