At the foot of the Hohe Kogel, halfway to Fraxern, lies the Alpe Maisäß. This is currently always open on SA and SO and is managed by the Fraxern Ski Club. An ideal destination for mountain bike tours, easily accessible via the easily accessible Kugelweg.
