The Münden city fortifications consisted of a city wall with defensive towers and city gates built in the Middle Ages, which surrounded the city of Münden (today Hann. Münden). The wall, which was probably built in 1200, protected the city and the later Welfenschloss Münden from attacks. Of the original 26 towers, bulwarks and gates, 12 buildings and individual sections of the city wall have survived to this day, some only rudimentarily.
