This lovely church is dedicated to St John the Evangelist and, interestingly, built in the 1860s in the 14th century style. The church can be seen from a good few miles around the village - very noticeable as it's so tall among the other lower buildings in Welburn.

Picturesque cruciform plan church built in 1859-65 by Mallinson and Healey. One of several churches in the area that all bear the St. John name.
