    Hiking

Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens are lush gardens where exotic and unusual plants are reminiscent of the tropics. The gardens were laid out in the 18th century, later expanded and restored after being destroyed by a storm in 1990. The facility covers an area of 12 hectares. It is advisable to take a map with you or use the route markings to avoid getting lost in the "jungle". Bronze sculptures from “Alice in Wonderland” can be found everywhere in the garden.
