The Max Engelmann Hut is at a lofty height.
The barbecue area can only be reached via a steep 500m walk from the Rudenberg Youth Hostel. However, the effort is rewarded with a great view of the Black Forest and the Alps (when the view is clear). From up here you can enjoy your grilled food in peace.
