Max-Eugelsmann Hut

The Max Engelmann Hut is at a lofty height.
The barbecue area can only be reached via a steep 500m walk from the Rudenberg Youth Hostel. However, the effort is rewarded with a great view of the Black Forest and the Alps (when the view is clear). From up here you can enjoy your grilled food in peace.

The Max-Engelmann-Hütte is located in the forest with a beautiful view of the Feldberg and the Alps. The remote idyll requires a high level of rules for the benefit of nature and other forest users. Here you will find a barbecue area and seating, but the infrastructure of the area is simple. In addition to a few wooden chairs, there is a large lawn, so that up to 50 people can celebrate cheerfully. An open shelter offers protection from thunderstorms and sudden rain showers (approx. 20 people). Youth groups are welcome here but should remember to appoint a supervisor. A deposit is also required here and the hut can only be accessed by vehicles with a key.
