With a height of approx. 971 meters, the Wurmberg near Braunlage is the highest point in the Lower Saxony part of the Harz Mountains. It is located directly opposite the Brocken, about 4 kilometers away from it. Its man-made summit can be reached in various ways from Braunlage. You can hike the mountain on foot and it takes around two to three hours, depending on the route and level of fitness.
