The Lauenstein Youth Forest Home, a "school camp in the forest," is dedicated to forest education. Here, everything revolves around the forest. Young guests learn through independent research, practical activities, and experiences with all their senses. The Youth Forest Home, which opened in 1990 in a former forestry office and is operated by the Bavarian Forestry Administration as an educational center (also for adults), is open year-round.
