NOTE: The old watchtower from 1604 is in a nature reserve. The hike to the tower is closed and only possible with permission from the nature park administration. We received the following information at the Parc Natural Llevant nature park center (as of September 2023):
- Access is from January 15th. until 15.8. completely forbidden (breeding season).
- From 15.8. until 15.1. Access is only permitted with permission. The reason is that the nature park administration wants to control the number of visitors.
- To receive approval, you must write an email to pnllevant@gmail.com 48 hours in advance.
There are a few rangers in the park, we saw about 4 off-road vehicles driving around the park.
The path to Talaia is beautiful, fantastic views at the top, you can climb the tower via a ladder that takes you into an interior room. From there you can climb through a hole to the top of the platform.
Overall, a fantastic tour, but it is only possible at certain times and with permission.
