The Flößerbrücke (Raft Bridge) connects the Obermainanlage in the city center with the Deutschherrnufer in Sachsenhausen. Its distinctive feature is visible from afar: a 21.50-meter-high green pylon spans this cable-stayed bridge. Due to its asymmetry, the bridge is colloquially known in Frankfurt as "das scheppe Ding" (the crooked thing). It is, however, one of Frankfurt's busiest bridges, as Federal Highway 3 runs across it with four lanes of traffic, flanked by two pedestrian and bicycle paths.
