Road Cycling Highlight
The Friedensbrücke is a road bridge in Frankfurt / M. It connects Baseler Platz in Gutleutviertel with Stresemannallee in Sachsenhausen. It was built from 1950 to 1951 in place of the Wilhelmsbrücke (until 1950), which was built from 1844 to 1848. On the southern bridgehead is the bronze sculpture "The Dock Worker" created in 1890. It reminds that immediately downstream of the bridge on the north side is the former Westhafen in Frankfurt, which was in operation from 1885 to 1999.
