A crossroads was erected at the entrance to Rüth. The wooden cross with roof gable and body as well as the INRI tablet above the head of the crucified Christ greets the hiker. The four letters "INRI" are a Latin abbreviation (that is, our "J" is written as "I") for the words "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews."
