    Hiking

The Loretta Trail in Traben-Trarbach is a 5.9 km long circular hiking trail (approx. 2 hours 15 minutes) that leads to the Grevenburg ruins and further to the Starkenburg Pavilion - with a wonderful view of Traben-Trarbach, Enkirch and the Moselle. The trail is named after Countess Loretta, who captured Elector Baldwin in 1328. The route leads along forest paths, the Bismarck Hut and ends at the Grevenburg with a place to stop for a refreshment. Sturdy shoes are recommended.
