The Schoenstatt Center Marienberg near Dörnwasserlos with its chapel of "Connectedness" is a place to linger, to listen and to listen. The Marienberg (Kalte Elsen) is a 563 meter high mountain near Scheßlitz, which was used during the Cold War as a missile base of NATO. After the turn of their existence was obsolete, so that the mountain was abandoned by the Americans again. Later, Trappists have temporarily set up their monastery on the site. Now the Schoenstatt Marienzentrum is located in the buildings. The "sanctuary of connectedness" with the miraculous image of the mother and the child is a picture of maternal closeness and security. Already the way to the chapel with the spiral-shaped forecourt should help to find the middle. Step by step.

In earlier years this hill was used by the US Army. From 1978 to 1990 the "HAWK-SITE" missile base was in operation.
