The small church stands on a hill above the village of Kaider. A detour is worthwhile, because not only is the building, more than half of which was self-financed by the townspeople between 1860 and 1880, but also the view of the Weißjura plateau east of the Main valley is impressive from here. The Marienkapelle is included in the Bavarian list of monuments.

Hiking

The Catholic local band St. Maria called "Marienkapelle" was built around 1860/80 on a hill in place of a dilapidated chapel. Most of the funding came from donations from the residents. It is a biaxial sandstone quadrangle with an open gable rider. The interior with a neo-Gothic altar is spanned by a flat plaster ceiling.
The chapel is always open and can be visited at any time.
