The Trinity or Plague Column on the main square of the Lower Austrian municipality of Tulln an der Donau. The column was built at the end of the 17th century by the master stonemasons Paul Strickner and Wolfgang Steinböck (Wikipedia). The column is at the main square. There are cafes and restaurants there. The restaurant “Zum Goldenen Schiff” is also nearby. We recommend.

The Tulln City Council discussed the construction of a Trinity Column as early as 1683. It wasn't until ten years later, after the outbreak of the plague in the region in 1693, that the construction project was put into action.
