The Danube Cycle Path is one of the best developed and best-known cycle paths in Austria. A good mixture of the finest asphalt, scenic beauty and gastronomy characterize it.

Here you can switch between the variants of the Danube Cycle Path running on both banks. For road cyclists, the northern side is usually better in the summer, with fewer pedestrians, children, boats, and so on.

This cycle route runs from west to east and right through Ober- and Niederösterreich along the Danube. You will see castles and monasteries, the famous 'Donauschlinge' and many historic places.

If you happen to pass by, you should stop for a drink at the hut located on the highest mountain in the Mostviertel! :-)
