Hiking

Here stand the heroes of the Göta Canal. For 200 years they have been helping people to travel and transport goods between east and west Sweden. The ephemeral materials such as wood have to be replaced over the years. However, many of the locks have retained their original cast-iron skeleton to this day

Hiking

The gates have served their purpose for many decades, but at some point they will have to be replaced with new ones. They are now very impressive and can be viewed.
