    Hiking

This beautiful fishing village on the Heritage Coast is a wonderful place to explore. It has a lovely sandy beach, rock pools and clean waters you can enjoy in nice weather. But even when it’s cold, the bay and the surrounding countryside are magical.

The village itself is also great to explore. With twisted cobbled streets and alleyways, it’s easy to imagine the sailors, fishermen and smugglers who walked these streets centuries ago. Today, it’s a vibrant village with lots of cafes, pubs, restaurants and shops, plus beautiful coastal and country walks.

    Hiking

This is a lively little coastal town, full of people from all walks of life, there are cafes, gift shops, a beach, fatastic views, plenty of parking. Well worth a visit, its also a main attraction along the Cleveland Way.

    Hiking

Wonderful little fishing village just 5 miles south of Whitby. There’s plenty to explore and it’s right on the Cleveland Way, the beach walk to Ravenscar is especially good (check tide times) with an abundance of wildlife including seals which regularly bask on the rocks closer to Ravenscar. There’s two main car parks and as you can imagine they fill up pretty quick, get there early to secure a space.. I would also recommend going through the week as weekends can feel a little over crowded, lots of bored kids who would rather be at a retail park eating Gregg’s.
