Ghent has a couple of interesting swing bridges. Tram tracks even run over these here. It looks like the bridge isn't rotated on a daily basis anymore.

The Recollett Bridge connects the Recollettlei with the Koophandelsplein.
There was certainly a bridge crossing at this location from the end of the 13th century.

In 1752 the bridge, then a stone bridge, was partially demolished and replaced by a wooden swing bridge. From a construction point of view, the 18th century saw the introduction of many new materials and techniques. At that time, many works were carried out in Ghent to promote shipping and trade. For example, the Leie and Scheldt were deepened and old stone arch bridges were replaced by wooden swing bridges. This way, the tall sailing ships, coming from the Brugse Vaart via the newly dug Coupure, could sail into the city center. In 1872, the wooden swing bridge was replaced by a metal construction after repeated repairs.

In the 20th century, shipping traffic in Ghent often caused traffic jams on the water. For example, more than 30 barges often tried to maneuver every day along the difficult bends near the old Palace of Justice and the Waalse Krook.

The Recollett Bridge was restored in 1987.

And, indeed, as @KiWaWa previously wrote here: the bridge no longer turns every day. In fact, it is no longer used as a swing bridge, but as a fixed bridge.
