The first church in Burbach, which had become too small, was replaced by the current church, which was inaugurated on January 23, 1846. The foundation stone was laid on May 1, 1843.
The church was renovated in 1907, 1965/66, 1985 and 2000/01.
The Burbach church has a gem, the monastery monstrance from the Frauenalb monastery.
