The cloister of Bonn Minster is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There are two entrances: either through the basilica or via the staircase from Gerhard-von-Are-Straße. Following extensive renovation and landscaping work in spring 2021, funded by Frank Asbeck, the 900-year-old cloister in the Minster's inner courtyard shines in all its beauty.

The approximately 900-year-old cloister is the most completely preserved Romanesque cloister north of the Alps. From around 1140 onwards, Provost Gerhard von Are had the two-storey monastery building with the cloister, which is still preserved today, built in several stages.
