Historical interpretation: During the construction of the E19, the course of the Nete was shifted. some meanders were cut off from the river and now form an elongated swamp zone. A pioneer forest spontaneously developed on the former floodplains, which were partly raised.
In the Oude Netearm you can also get acquainted with swamps, brushwood and wet grasslands.
Very nice to get off here and discover this exceptional nature reserve with your full imagination. Children always enjoy themselves in this wilderness with landscaped trails.
