The path leads from the meeting of Edelmannshäuweg and Neuer Weg to the north, crosses the Brockenbahn via an unbarred level crossing and meets the Bahnparallelweg, which leads from Schierke station to Eckerloch. As an extension to the north, a hiking trail then leads to Brockenstrasse, which leads to the summit of the Brocken. In the area of the intersection with the Bahnparallelweg there is now a refuge with a notice board referring to the history of the old bobsled run
