This raised moor, also known as Struffeltvenn, is part of a 56 km² nature reserve that has been designated around the Struffeltkopf. Wooden walkways make this impressive moor area accessible to hikers. This means you can cross this wonderful landscape on dry feet without disturbing or even damaging the rare plant and animal species. However, you should not leave the footbridges, as the moor immediately spreads out in some places. Characteristic of the Struffeltvenn is the so-called pipe grass, a type of grass without knots that was used as pipe cleaners in the past.
