Between 1573 and 1575, today's town hall was built in the Renaissance style. Due to the strong similarity to the town hall of Altenburg, it is assumed that it was designed by the architect Nicol Gromann from Torgau like this one. On October 14, 1575, the construction of the town hall was solemnly completed with the addition of the tower button (Wikipedia).
