The bird hide at the Jaap Deensgat of the Lauwersmeer has a shielded walkway, flanked on both sides by reed walls. This way you can reach the viewing hut undisturbed. The polder is not accessible to the public, but from the service road between Lauwersoog and Anjum, the polder is easy to oversee and you do not disturb the birds.
