The film documentary »Grenzwege – der Zöllnerpfad« states on its corresponding website: “The historic customs officers' path, today one of France's most popular hiking trails, begins at the famous pilgrimage mountain Mont-St.-Michel. Over its 1,700 kilometers, between Mont-St.-Michel in the north and St. Nazaire in the south of the Breton peninsula, impressive landscapes with a rich flora and fauna are waiting to be discovered. Past rugged cliffs, vast dune landscapes, and seemingly endless beaches, hikers become border crossers of a floating border that changes with the rhythm of the tides.”
