Hiking

It was the idyll of Gohrisch that inspired the world-famous composer Dimitri Shostakovich to compose his string quartet here in July 1960. In his honor, the International Shostakovich Days have been held annually since 2010, which are organized by the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden and various high-ranking guests and turn the spa town into a stage. As a souvenir of the well-known composer, this souvenir bust was installed on Shostakovich Square of the same name.
