In this church you will find the plaque of recognition 1914-1918. On this plaque, an inscription appears: "to Saint Joseph, the parish of Bassenge grateful 1914-1918". This plaque does not contain any name.

This church dates from 1857, architect H. Jaminé; tower from 1741-1744 raised and equipped with a staircase turret in 1906. Beautiful furniture and Louis XIV stalls.

The Saint-Pierre church has three classical naves or beeches and dates from 1770. The tower with facade bands, corner bands and natural stone dates from 1741-1744 and was built in 1914. The body of the building is made of brick, limestone and tuff.

The Saint-Pierre church was rebuilt in 1857 according to plans by Limburg architect Herman Jaminé (born in Maastricht, died in Hasselt and also designer of the church of Paal) who designed many churches and government buildings, just like his son Léon Jaminé and before him his father Lambert. The church has two altars in Louis XIII style.

The location in height with the statue of Christ makes it beautiful to see.
