The church is dedicated to the local patron of Sand, St. Dedicated to Severin of Cologne. Worth seeing because essential parts of the interior have been restored to their original state. In 1979 the church got a new organ that is well worth seeing and hearing. Opposite the church there is the beautiful square with the wayside cross and below the church the old vicarage (monument protection) and the old Sander cemetery, site of a former church.
