At the center of the Gronau Forest Estate stands a pedunculate oak, designated a natural monument. Its age is estimated at over 160 years. The over 15-meter-tall solitary tree stands in the square named after it, "An der Eiche." Two benches sit beneath the shady canopy, which has a diameter of approximately 21 meters. Directly adjacent to Eichplatz is the former restaurant "Zur Eiche" (now the Olivenhof Gronauer Wald).
