The porridge was once prepared in a kind of washtub, the bucket, scooped out with a fine-meshed sieve and then pressed into a leaf. If you want to know more, the Alte Dombach paper mill is the right place for you. Half-timbered houses and industrial buildings already give an idea of the technical change from the outside: the mill was operated according to old fathers' custom until 1900, with water power and without machines, in the factory, on the other hand, production was carried out on an industrial scale. Today, on 2,300 square meters of exhibition space, the museum shows how paper was made and used over the past 250 years.

Half-timbered houses in a green valley landscape, streams and a clattering mill wheel - this is how the former paper mill 'Alte Dombach' welcomes visitors. Today, with its charming atmosphere, a location of the LVR Industrial Museum can be found here.

Definitely worth seeing. The LVR Museum Papiermühle Alte Dombach is located in the buildings of the former paper mills. Everything about papermaking. Historical equipment can be viewed. Just like a long paper road. At the moment there is (irony of fate) a toilet paper exhibition, planned long before Corona.
In addition to the museum, there is also a beautiful beer garden and a children's playground
