The youth hostel on the Dilsberg in Neckargemünd is about 200 meters high above the valley. Have you ever lived in a city gate? The youth hostel is part of the completely preserved medieval city wall. Enjoy the picturesque village complex in peace. Completely traffic-calmed. Would you rather be a little louder? There is space to run around in the small castle park. And in the meadows around the Dilsberg. On warm summer evenings, the open-air stage on the castle wall beckons. You can experience pure culture in the Dilsberg Commandant's House, the cultural center of the Rhine-Neckar district. The view from the crenellated castle wall is also worth seeing. On the other side of the Neckar you can see the four Neckarsteinach castles. How about a hike? The excursion boat to Heidelberg also stops at the foot of the castles. From 1921, the Dilsberg gate tower and its adjoining house (night watchman's house) served as a "migratory bird's nest". The municipality of Dilsberg rents the two buildings to Rudolf Müller's Heidelberg hiking bird group.
