A visit to the Medieval Centre is well worth it. From May to September, life in Denmark's Middle Ages is shown. In the experimental living museum, the "residents" demonstrate old handicraft techniques, knights hold tournaments, or medieval war machines are put into operation.
In the "Den Gyldne Svane" inn, you can dine medieval-style, and a museum shop is also available. Children and adults can get actively involved in the Medieval Centre or the technology park, for example, by trying archery or experimenting with "machines".

Nykøbing's main attraction is the Medieval Centre, which was modelled after a 15th-century town. Here you feel like you've travelled back in time and experience the Middle Ages up close.
You can experience historical technologies in the form of war machines, such as catapults and old handguns. There are also knight tournaments almost every day, and in the main season, archery and the firing of smaller handguns take place. In the working workshops, you can learn how ropes were made, how fabrics were dyed, or watch a blacksmith at work.
