The Abendrothsee is located south of Buckow (Märkische Schweiz) in the FFH area "Buckow - Waldsieversdorfer Niederungslandschaft".
It is privately owned, is used for fishing and is not bathing water. The lake is surrounded by mixed alder and deciduous forest, there are hardly any places where you can get to the shore.
