The Oberausbrücke fell victim to the flood of the Pfinz in 1824, was built and in April 1945 it was blown up when the Allies approached in 1945. It was rebuilt in 1953. Johannes Nepomuk decorates this bridge and is considered the bridge saint to protect the bridge.

This baroque statue of the bridge saint Nepomuk stands on the Oberausbrücke, which was destroyed several times by floods or wars, over the Pfinz river near the center of Grötzingen.
