During turtle season (September), the entrance (beach) to the hiking trail from Kalamakia is often closed due to barriers to protect the nests. But behind the hotel there is a free area which is used for parking. There is an inconspicuous path here that also leads to the route. You just have to walk through the farm. The owner encouraged us to do this.
