Top cycling routes to Mordloch Cave

Tips

  • The murder hole is a water cave from which the cool water gushes out, in order to then fill the trout ponds and flow into the Eyb. The cave is kilometers long but mostly filled with water, so that it can only be "visited" by experienced divers. It is still a beautiful, idyllic and somehow impressive place. Incidentally, the name of the cave is no coincidence: According to legend, the Eybach castle forester was once murdered and hidden here. His loyal dog is said to have discovered the body only after a long search.

  • This cave is worth it. Don't forget your flashlight. And it shouldn't have rained for a few days.
