Services have been held here for more than 1,200 years. The carved stones tell of the faith and hope of the people who built and maintained this church.

The cathedral is open daily in summer from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and from November to March from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Exceptions due to events and their preparation.)
The cathedral is located directly on the Weser cycle path and has been a pilgrimage church on the Loccum-Volkenroda pilgrimage route since September 25, 2016
